Itinerary
Day 1 – Departing Aberdeen at 08.30. Continue south to Gretna.
Day 2 - Visit to "The Devils Porridge". This is an amazing exhibition telling the story of the greatest munitions factory on earth. In 1915, Britain was losing the war, through lack of ammunition, until 30,000 women and men came from all over the world to work in the massive war factory on the solway. This afternoon we will make our way to the royal burgh of Annan, for some free time to eplore this ancient market town.
Day 3 - Day trip to Carlisle.
Day 3 - Afternoon visit to Dumfries, situated on the Banks of the river Nith and known as the “Queen of the South”, for its old red sandstone buildings and spacious parks.
Day 4 – After breakfast this morning, we leisurely make our way north stopping at the Red House Hotel, in Coupar Angus, for our afternoon tea, arriving back in Aberdeen around 1700hrs
