Gretna Green is situated on the English/Scottish border, where the blacksmith used to marry runaway couples in his shop. Even though outlawed since 1940 Gretna Green’s world famous ‘anvil’ marriages still attract huge interest today.

Gretna Hall Hotel
Originally built back in 1710 as a manor house for the Johnstone Family, the impressive Gretna Hall Hotel sit in it's own beautiful grounds on the outskirts of the village. Each of the 100 en-suite bedrooms offer Tea and Coffee making facilities, telephone, hairdryer and wireless internet provided in each room.
You will be treated to traditional scottish hospitality with a programme of superb entertainment and wonderful menus throughout your stay!

Itinerary
Day 1 - Depart Aberdeen at 10.30hrs and head to the Red House Hotel for Soup and Sandwiches. Make our way to The Gretna Hall to be greeted by a roaring fire and a welcome cocktail party before our evening 5 course evening meal. There will be live entertainment this evening.
Day 2 - After a hearty breakfast we head out on a local excursion. We then head back to the hotel for Lunch before making an optional afternoon visit to get some last minute bargains at the Gretna Outlet Village.
There will an afternoon tea served at the hotel late afternoon after which you can enjoy a glass of mulled wine or hot punch,
This evening enjoy a candelit 6 course gala dinner followed by live entertainment and a disco, to welcome in 2010. To ease you into the new year, Scotch pies will be served before you retire!
Day 3 - Enjoy a lie in this morning, brunch will served from 09.00 to 12.00. We head for a short excursion in the coach before our Afternoon Tea at the hotel around 15.00.
At our Gala buffet this evening, we will enjoy the services of a table magician entertaining us through service before our Farewell Gala dance.
Day 4 - After breakfast we bid farewell to Gretna and head homeward, arriving in Aberdeen around 16.00.
